Mock Bench Trials, Hearings, and Arbitrations
Many lawyers are familiar with conducting mock jury trials. Mock studies geared toward understanding how your judge, neutral or tribunal sees and thinks about your case are just as valuable as in jury trials. While there are obvious differences between juries, judges and arbitrators, many aspects of how they think about and decide cases are similar. As we often say, “judges and arbitrators are people, too.” In a mock bench trial, hearing, or mock arbitration, The Caissa Group recruits surrogate retired judges or arbitrators matched to your judge, neutral or tribunal, who will observe case presentations by counsel and provide their feedback. The mock exercise is designed keeping in mind the rules and procedures put in place for your specific proceeding. Mock arbitrations can be conducted for domestic and international arbitrations.
